Wiring and rewiring

Wiring is the work that disappears.

Once the insulation and the drywall are up, the only proof of how the wiring was done is how the house behaves for as long as you live in it.

On new construction, additions and remodels, we pull every circuit while the walls are open: outlets, switches, lights and appliances, each to its box, and it is inspected before the walls close. In older homes, we rewire room by room.

The photos on this page are rough-ins from our own jobs: cable run neatly up the framing, boxes set, circuits pulled.

Where wiring fits

  • New construction

Rough-in with the walls open, finish when the rooms are done.

  • Additions and remodels

New circuits for the new rooms, tied into a panel that has room for them.

  • Older homes

Rewiring, room by room, with the house still lived in.
